Jaden's Return

[Jaden Yuki]

Jaden walked around Domino City. He sighed softly to himself as he finally found a comfy tree in the park. He placed his items down near him as Pharoah released Professor Banner and Yubel was released from Jaden.

"Jaden? Why exactly are we here in Domino City? Didn't you want to go to Duel Academy?"

"Well, yes, but, see....since I exactly didn't give a notice to return there, I have no way there. So I figured the best way to arrive at Duel Academy Island was to use the shipment plane they use for card transfer and other items for the school's store. I'm sure it'll be fine if I hitch a ride."

"And by hitch a ride, you mean sneak on board, don't you?"

"It's like you know me or something? Ahahaha, well still, it's my best shot."

"Well when can we get started, Jaden?" Banner spoke for the first time.

"Well, that's the problem...I sort of missed the shipment, so I'm stuck here for a week or two."

"Well that's inconvient. Well, what are we doing till then?"

"Hmm...I suppose find more duelist around here to help."

"It's time for a break, Jaden. Doesn't the famous Yugi Muto live here. Prehaps you can remet him"

"Yugi Muto?! Oh yeah! Well, why didn't I thnk of that? Let's go!" With that, Jaden grabbed his Duel Disk and backpack and ran for the first place he'd think to find Yugi; his grandfaher's store.

After a quick run, he stood in front of the store, knocking on the door.

Jou was visiting again, he always visited, really it was a wonder he had his job with how often he snuck out of the hotel in favor of seeing his best friend.

Granted he did a lot of work, and always made up for the time he took off but hey even a manager needed time off! and to play hooky...

"Yug I'm telling you, you need to a girlfriend...or a boyfriend...or a robot or something!" He said, tapping the glass with his right hand, leaning casual on the counter using his left hand to hold his head up "Don't like seeing you all alone you know? and now that Ryou's gone and got someone that's one less person in our little gang!" he pushes from the counter in favor of waving his arms and moving to look at a display.

Slow moments like this in the store were nice to be able to talk like this "What about Mai? you could take her off my hands and keep her from following me." He turned to wink and grin goofily. The sound of the door had him turning, ruffling his hair with an exasperated sigh "Why do people knock? did you forget to turn the sign to open again?"

Yugi sighed while shaking his head, Atem also from inside the puzzle that was around his neck. "Jou...You know I don't like Mai that way." he said with a laugh. "As for our group getting smaller...that's just part of life. I don't like it either but that is just something that is going to happen...I guess." As he thought about the good days he could not help but become nostalgic and let loose another sigh. "So....any luck with Kaiba yet?" he would ask with a sly smile before going to answer the door, flipping the sign on the door to Open, and blinks for a moment before saying in a curious voice. "Jaden??? What brings you here? Come to buy some cards?" He seemed rather happy to see the boy, and he was. He was always delighted to see someone that he considered a friend....even if they didn't know each other that well. Poor Yugi....still so trusting.

Jaden heard the commotion in the store, so his grin was wider as he waited for Yugi to answer. Then Yugi answered and greeted him. "Well acutally, I came here to visit, since I have no money. I'm sorry." He sighed softly, his duel disk on his wrist gleaming in the light. "I was also wondering if we can have a duel too, if you're up to it!"

Jou turned bright red at the comment from his short friend "Yuug!" he cried, looking around frantically "Walls have ears!...and no." he pouts as he leans against the counter, composing himself only after the door opened, a brow raised at the figure. He vaugely recalled the stories of this kid from his friend.

"Seems everyone still wants to duel you these days huh Yuug."
