A Date!

[Awne Tigra]

Awne nods her head happily, quickly digging out her phone from her purse. The small little charm at the end jingled with a bell, it was a tiny blue eyes with a white bell. She quickly types in the name for the contact then offers him the phone for him to type in the number, her other hand offered to do the same on his.

[Ryo Bakura]

Bakura trade the cells as he started to type in it his number. He waited for her then retraded. He smiled at her. After returning the cell in his pocket, he looked back at her, taking her over to a bench. As they sat down, he spoke. "I...I would like to show you something. And I only show this to my dear friends..and obviously you qualify."

He reached in his shirt, and brought out his Millennium Ring. It was still on a string of rope like many years ago.

Awne followed him after of course setting his contact to a speed-dial. She takes a seat and sets her phone again, tilting her head slightly in curiosity; something he only showed close..

Her eyes lit up "wow." she says softly, reaching out lightly to brush her fingertips along the ring

[Ryo Bakura]

Bakura nodded at her. "It's called the Milllennium Ring. My father gave it to me and it's very important." Sure, it caused him a lot of trouble in the past, but that's all over..forever.

Meanwhile, Yami Bakura watched all this. "You fool! If she touches that!!!"

Then she did. A flash occured and one second Bakura was there, then the next Yami Bakura's evil, smiling face replaced it, followed by another flash and returned Bakura's regular smiling face.

"Damn...She saw me! My plan is getting broken down by the second...It's time..I had a talk with my vessel...Once and for all..."

Awne looked up to him at the mention of his family, only to stare and scramble back; her breath had picked up as she stared at him, mouth agape in slight horror "wh...what happened??" she questioned, pointing to him "you...you changed!"

[Ryo Bakura]

Bakura was shocked by this reaction. Different? "What do you mean by different?" 'Bakura....' someone spoke within his mind. 'If you dare say a word, I'll make sure your girlfriend gets the punishment you would get. After all...you know what I'm capable of, my vessel...' Him! No...No!!! Bakura couldn't believe it. He was sure Yugi and the Pharoah defeated his dark side once and for all. Impossible...yet...he was back.

Bakura nodded though. Yami Bakura's power was too powerful. He might send Awne tot the Shadow Realm..or even worse...kill her..he was that demented. "I'm sorry...maybe it was just some weird nightmare thing..or you're getting tired. Let me walk you hmome?" 'Awne..please don't be afraid of me...I still like you...' 'Then act normal and nothing will occur, foolish mortal.'

Awne shook her head "I know what I saw, that's what you learn in hospitals to notice everything you can and I know you changed." She looks to him confused, "how? how did you change? why? you.." she frowns at him "wait you didn't know you changed?" she eyes him curiously, her eyes falling to the ring "I touched it...and your face..turned this...this cruel grin like expression.."

Her gaze returns to his eyes "What is that ring."

Bakura frowned. She was too smart for him. And he couldn't tell her about his dark side or else Yami would finish her, and with barely amy witnesses...No!!! 'Bakura..I can't have you ruin my plans! And this girl is my trump card over you! You can tell her the history of you and the ring and me, but not that I've returned..only that I'm still in the Shadow Realm...nothing more, Or else!!'

Bakura nodded once more. "Okay...." He sat down on the bench, hoping she would too. "But please, I'm telling the truth. This Millinnium Ring used to hold a dark identity." He talked about how the Hsadow Games were made, how the Millinnium Items were made to seal the Shadows games, the return of the Shadow Games and it's involvement with Yugi, Bakura, and everone else. He explained his duel with Yugi, both when he was in duelist kingdom, Battle City, and in Ancient Egypt. He talked about Yami Bakura's defeat and the end of his evil.

"I'm so sorry...when you touched the Ring, it must have activated a vision of the spirit that used to reside in it...You must think I'm crazy....and..and..I understand if you never wanted to speak to me again....Just.say the word...and I'll leave...."

Awne sat, listening quietly with the attention she'd given everything in her life..no..more attention. She took in every detail, linking the battles he talked of to the duels she'd watched, noticing only in this the differences between the man sitting before her and the evil he spoke of.

Gently she takes his hands in hers "Don't go..." she says softly, offering him a reassuring smile "I don't think you're crazy..how can I? I saw that other you...no...that..um...well the spirit, so..if you were crazy then I suppose that would mean I am too." she offers him a laugh, scooting to sit closer to him "You're sure he's gone though? that...that ring had a..a after image sort of thing?" She was eying the ring again.

"What if he comes back? can he?" she frowns "could he come back changed? maybe..nicer?" she offers a wry grin "or just..leave you alone?"

[Ryo Bakura]

Bakura shook his head. "Yugi said he's finally sealed within his own dimension forever more. And he can't change to good...Yugi and the Pharoah, Atem..the one on the tablet...they said the dark half of me was literally darkness...He himself was darkness alone. There is dark and light, and he is the darkest..hence him being The Darkness..."

He frowned, but she stopped him. "But...aren't I dangerous? I'm so sorry." Still she spoke more and made him feel better. "Thank you, Awne...Thank you for understanding...just...don't tell anyone..."

Awne makes a motion of zipping her lips before grinning to him "secrets safe with me." She says softly "and if he does come back I'll just have to have a talk with him." She nods her head "Your body, your life, spirits along for the ride should just watch." She scoots to lean into him, resting her head on his shoulder. "You aren't dangerous...you can't be, you asked the question...dangerous people don't ask that question."

It was an odd answer but she felt it was well suited, besides, he trusted her with his secret, which meant she could trust him. She sighs softly, tilting her head lightly to look up to him from his shoulder.

[Ryo Bakura]

Bakura was shocked by this. She..she...still liked him?! He smiled at her. Despite his story and Yami appearing, though she didn't know, she still was here with him. He smiled at her. "Thank you, Awne...Thank you..." He leaned towards hr kissing her cheek again.

"Good work, fool. You were successful to fool her into not revealing my return. For now...I'll let her survive...But make no mistake..For I still have power over her. I will have control over you...and keep my return a secret." Another evil laugh, this time so Bakura can hear it, chilling his bones.

Awne smiled lightly to the kiss to her cheek, sighing again happily as she relaxed against him. It was getting late, and she was worried for him to have to go through a full work day with little sleep. "Ryo?" she starts softly, sitting up to look at him "where do you live? I had meant to ask." Her question was truly innocent, really. she was curious if he lived close to the museum or far away.

[Ryo Bakura]

"I acutally live not that far away...about three blocks from work. It's quite good. I work to work everyday." He looked over to the tall building of the musuem. He could see the top of it from here. It was late...and he didn't know how long see wanted to stay out. "Do you want to go home, Awne? Cause I'll walk you home if you wish."

Awne smiled faintly "I was going to ask you that." she said with a light laugh "I wouldn't want to be the cause of you not being able to get to work on time." Though a small part of her was denying that claim and being hushed. She stands and offers her hand "I don't live too far either." she says, pointing in the direction of the tea shop they'd been at "Just past there really."
