Bakura nodded at her. "Really? That's surprising...You're beautiful..." He blushed. That was smooth...Real smooth. He sounded sappy and embrassing. He looked back at her. "I mean...err..umm..I.." Finally he blurted out, "Will you be my girlfriend?" Bakura eyes went wide with shame. Oh no! This can't be! He made a fool of himself finally!! He hid his face with shame. She would obviously say no and that was the most embrassing thing I can do!!

A blush spread over her cheeks at the compliment, when was the last time someone had said she was beautiful? ...hm...that last date had...until she had to run out to help an intern, apparently she wasn't beautiful enough to wait for.
She takes a sip of her tea only to nearly choke on it at his sudden question. Her heart moved to take residence in her throat as she coughed to get air moving again "wh...what?" she asks sipping her tea quickly to soothe her throat. Eyes wide she watches him, was he kidding? was...was he playing a trick on her? no..he didn't seem the type..
"a...are you..." she gulps faintly, turning bright red "Do you..really mean that?" she asks softly. Her hand eases forward a bit brushing her fingers slightly against his hand. Did he? no...he...he must have meant something else..they just met..but oh how she hoped, she could be really happy with someone like him

Bakura felt complete embrassed. He meant to ask that later hopefully. "Yes...err...No..err...I mean..maybe...I don't know..." He closed his eyes, embrassed. He took a small breath. It was too late cover it. He was just going to be honest now. "Yes...I do mean it...I'm..I'm sorry, Awne...I'll leave you now I'm too weird or something...."

Awne quickly takes his hand that she had been brushing her fingers against "no no.it...it was just..a surprise." she flushes, pulling her hand away slightly, she didn't want to scare. "I...I wouldn't mind...you're sweet...sweeter than anyone I've ever been set up with before and...well...why not." She glances up to him, red faced but smiling "if..if you really want to that is.."

Bakura was surprised when she stopped him. He quickly stopped himself. Bakura was then shocked when she spoke. "Really? Well, that's quite excellent!" He smiled at her. This was indeed very good.

Awne smiled brightly, taking his hand again in hers lightly "I admit I hadn't thought things would go this way...I'm glad they did." she laughs softly. Her mother would want details, and knowing her she'd likely start making preparations, that woman was near desperate for grandkids where her daughter wanted them or not. Mothers. what are you gonna do.
"I'm glad we met." she says lightly "who knew one meeting would lead this way." she giggles lightly

Bakura smiled at her. "Yes...this was indeed a good outcome!" He went for another cup of tea and realized they were out. "Hmm...what do we do now..." According to the clock in front of him, it was almost midnight.

Awne blinked faintly and turned to the clock as well, who knew that the old saying was true! time flies when one's having fun. She turns back to him and shrugs a shoulder "I'm not sure...we could go for a walk..or I suppose we could say goodnight." she didn't want to, she knew they would likely both have work the next day but she just didn't want the night to end. "what would you like to do?"

Bakura thought for a moment. He had work tommorrow, but he would be okay. He just hoped she would too. Then again..she did advice a walk. He got up, his suit being dusted again. He walked to her side and held out a hand. "Then shall we walk?"

Another blush, pink this time, she was hoping that perhaps the shyness was starting to fade as she took his hand and stood. Taking up her purse in her other hand she walks beside him out into the park.
"It's a nice night." she says, looking up to the moon and the stars so clear in the sky. There were only a few others out so late, mostly teens and young adults it seemed. "and this...this has been the best night ever." She says happily, turning to him. Flushed red again she kisses his cheek, grinning but looking away quickly.

Bakura lifted up his backpack, swinging both straps on his shoulders. He blushed when she grabbed his hand. They walked in the park, couples together in the starry night and then the occasion prankster or two. He walked for a while, then blushed red since he realized he was still holding hand. Still, he didn't let go.
Bakura nodded at her. It was indeed really nice out tonight. Then she kissed his cheek. He blushed as much as her. He smiled at her. "Thank you..." He decided to try to kiss her back the same.

Awne laughs softly, nervous and shy but calming slowly. She felt the kiss to her cheek and turned red all over again, looking over to him. She knew they were still holding hands but she wasn't ready yet to let him go. Still..she didn't want to trap him..she let her hand loosen a little, a more comfortable hold "do..you work tomorrow?"

Bakura smiled at her. He barely felt her hand loosen. He was having the best time ever. He looked at the stars. Today was a great day. How he got luck he didn't know and didn't want to question it.
Returning his gaze back at her he answered her. "Well yes, but I'll be alright..what about you?"

A quick shake of her head "I go back to the school day after tomorrow, needed some time to get things packed." She smiles faintly "They said they have quarters for me so...I guess I'm there until the school's out." She shifts faintly from foot to foot "maybe I can sneak out sometimes and see you." she laughs softly "or sneak you in." she giggles that time. She felt like a teenager, which was both strange and a welcome change.
