[Awne Tigra]

Massive halls, beautiful architecture lots of people, even in this one building it felt like a city! and..just like in a city..Awne was lost.

She'd heard about possible positions as school doctor for a few places, and considering that this was a dueling school...that meant cards..and people that didn't look at her weird. so far that was a great incentive to choose this place. The young doctor was getting tired of the hospital scene, she wanted to meet people that weren't on a death bed or sleeping or awake but only got to speak to her for a few minutes.

A school position though...that would allow her to meet people, foster friendships, actually be a twenty-five year old!! Her thoughts had caused her to grin and look triumphently to the ceiling as though she were saying these things out loud. Calm down..people are looking.. She told herself, laughing faintly and tugging on a loose strand of silvery hair, averting her eyes.

These kids..they were so lucky, more often lately she'd begun to wish she had actually been able to enjoy a childhood, where buying cards didn't make her feel like she was doing something wrong..or weird.

"Enough Awne...back to buisness...where's that office.." she whispers to herself

[Lance]

Lance was exploring his new school. I mean, sure, he got glimspes of it this first week of school, but now that it's the weekend, he can explore the island even more!! Of course, Lance wore his Slifer-issued jacket, only unlike most, who button it up, he left it unbutton. He also had his Slifer-issued Duel Disk on his right wrist. You never know when you have to duel someone on thsi island.

Lance sighed softly. Being a Slifer Red made him one of those few people no one wants to duel that often. But he'll prove himself and make his way to the top!!! He was looking at his cards when he bumped into someone. He dropped them all facedown except three: Morphing Jar #2, Needle Worm, and All-Out Attacks.

"Oh, dear, I'm sorry, ma'am!" He was on the floor, embrassed, cards scattered about.

Awne eeps faintly as something bumped into him, turning quickly she looked to the boy. "oh, no no it's okay, I..I guess I should have asked directions a while ago instead of just standing here." she laughs lightly as she kneels to help him pick up his cards, looking over them with wide eyes "wow..." she says softly.

She'd yet to give back the morphing Jar, she'd never seen that one before! It wasn't like hers at all, but it was neat! "What's this one for?" she asks.

[Lance]

Lance picked up his deck while she helped. He smiled at her when he looked at his ace card.

"Morphing Jar #2? Well...It clears the field of monsters when if flips up. Once it flips, all monsters on the field go to the graveyard. Then you shuffle and draw till you get the number of monster that you had on your side of the field in your hands. Then you special summon all the monster with level 4 or lower in face-down defense mode. It helps me when I do my one turn kill plan."

He smiled a big grin, picking up his remaining cards. "Thank you...umm...err..."

"Awne." she says, offering the card back as well as a hand to help him up "that card is interesting!" She grins faintly, brushing silver back from her shoulder as she looks to the coat and deck "that's...a duel..thing..." she frowns, what was that called? "Duel disk!" she says happily "I've seen a few people wearing them at the hospital...granted we took them off.." she frowns, were those thing dangerous? She should look into some research on that..

"sorry I didn't catch your name?"

[Lance]

Lance smiled at her. "Thanks..it's my favorite card!" Lance Smiled at the card. He remember when his friend gave it to him. It becaome his signature card ever since.

Lance looked at his Duel Disk. "Umm, yea! It's what we use at this school to duel! Do you duel? Oh and, by the way, my name is Lance Williams, Awne!"

A quick shake of her head, pink coloring her cheeks "no...I..I don't..." She looks down, her hand moving to the pouch hidden under her shirt where her cards were "um..I..um.." she shifts from foot to foot "I don't know how." she laughs faintly and clears her throat, hoping to gain some control again "ah...do...do you know where the office is? I was hoping to see about the position of school doctor.."

[Lance]

Lance nodded slowly. "Well whenever you wish, I can totally so you how to!!" He smiled at her. Lance was extremely friendly to any and everyone. He was also oblivious to his surroundings, so he didn't notice her stuttering.

"Office? Hmm...I think it's...umm...somewhere around here...This is the main building. And it's near the entrance...so we're close...Sorry...I'm a new student and just started to explore."

An easy smile crosses her lips as she chuckles lightly. He seemed like a sweet kid, maybe she'd take the position in the hopes of meeting others like him..and she might be able to learn how to duel! "Were you going somewhere? or shall we explore together?" she asks, bright eyes filled with ease now.

[Lance]

Lance shuffled his hair a little. He smiled when asked the question. She was really pretty and pretty awesome to talk to. Whatever it was, as long as it was about dueling, then perfect!

"Sure deal!! We can talk about dueling and you might even get to see me duel!!!"

[Awne Tigra]

Awne grins happily and takes off to the right, a good place to start at least!

"So you're obviously part of this school...is there some system with the students? I saw a few people in yellow and you're in red." She tilts her head faintly as she watches him "what's the significance?"

[Lance]

"Well, I'm in the Slifer Red Dorm, as you can see, and then there's Ra Yellow, then Obelisk Blue. And it's ranked by your grades and your dueling skills. I mean..I thnk I'm a good duelist...but I don't test well or do very good at the class work. So those bad grades make me a Slifer Red. But you can always study and test for the next rank of Yellow, or even Blue, the highest!"

Lance looked down at his threads and Duel Disk and sighed. "Sure, I'm a simple Slifer Red, but I'm going to make it to the top!!!" He grinned at himself with his great self-esteem.

Awne offered a kind smile in return but inwardly she was confused. They rewarded kids for doing better by giving them a new dorm and colors? so then what of those that were already a blue? They had no where else to achieve if they'd already made it to the top..

Things were certainly different then when she was in school....or was this just a dueling thing....

"I think red looks very good on you, and the color of your jacket means nothing." She nods her head "Just the person in it means something." She rests a companionable hand on his shoulder, nails kept clean but short; hospitals had too many regulations to deal with so plain and clear were her style.

"How do you test? and what are classes on?" they couldn't have history or languages could they? would that make sense?

[Lance]

Lance smiled at her. "Well, thank you! I believe so too! Red iis an excellent color!" He then thought to himself for a bit. He knew he was going to be the best! And even when he becomes a Obelisk Blue, he'll still wear his red jacket as a symbol of his infinite chance to learn and grow stronger forever on.

"Well...History of Duel Monsters, like back to the Egyptian times. Umm...Spells, Traps, Effects classes...Logic and stragety classes...anyy and all things about Duel Monsters pretty much."

Awne was having trouble wrapping her mind around it, they were classes on dueling...when she heard it was a school for dueling she had thought...but this!

"I had no idea something like this existed..not like this..I had always thought it was simply for people to take a class or two on how to duel maybe but..this is above what I had anticipated.."

She frowns faintly and looks down to him "Is....is this game really dangerous? I mean..I've had people come in needing care after a match or two..I've never really understood why a game could lead them to a hospital."
