Personality: Once an innocent child wanting to view the outside world, then a person bent to defeat Yugi Muto and gain his powers of The Pharaoh. Now he's a good-natured person, willing to elp and even serve The Pharaoh. However, Yami Marik is twisted and evil. And still is.

History: Marik's story begins in Egypt, where he was destined to become a tombkeeper. But all he wanted was to see the outside world, to escape his so called destiny. However, his father would have any of that! With physical and emotional abuse, his father halted this. Even so, he had the comfort of his oldest friend and adopted brother, Odion. With this relationship, he devoted himself to serve and protect Marik. However, his prescene also meant he had to protect Marik...From himself.

The hatered for his father led to the creation of an evil spirit, though surpressed. That was until Odion was beaten by his father. Once Odion was unconsious, the evil spirit took over, sending his father to the Shadow Realm (Or killing his father in the Subbed). However, before Yami Marik could do much more, Odion returned and surpressed the evil.

Marik would not reappear until the Battle City Tournament, where he sent a group of people could Rare Hunters after Yugi and his puzzle. Even so, each one lost to Yugi and even he gained a God Card, Slifer the Sky Dragon. So he went to great measures by kidnapping his friends and even using them against him. He also used Yami Bakura to do his dirty work in the end. Then when that failed, he had to enter the Battle City Finals and even made Odion pretend to be Marik while he pretended to be Namu. His hatered for The Pharaoh sent him on this chase to claim his puzzle any means necessary to obtain the powers of The Pharaoh.

During the finals when Joey fought Odoin, when Odion went unconsious, Yami Marik returned. And then that's where things got bad. He started to send many people to the Shadow Realm, and even tortured them before sending them. He'd used methods of the Shadow Realm to increase his torture and also used his cards of such demise, only waiting to bring out his ultimate card, his God Card, The Winged Dragon of Ra.

However, his demise ended when faced against Obelisk the Tormentor and Slifer and Yugi. Not only that, but Odion returned and reawakened Marik and regained his body to destroy Yami once and for all, sending him straight to The Shadow Realm.

Marik appeared once more to help Yugi regain The Pharaoh's memories and then witnessed the final duel between the duel. Now that his duties are done, he decided to go back to Domino City and work there as a professor of his own country's history. However, Yami Marik has returned from the Shadow Realm. And when he finds his host again, chaos will return to get his God Card back and destroy the one who defeated him; Yugi.

Rp Sample:[/u] Marik sighed at the site before him. He sat at the window seat on the plane to Domino City. After his adventure with the Pharoah, he spent a bit more time with the family, then set out to earn a degree high enough to teach. When finally achieving this, he set his eyes on living and working back at Domino City.

Marik wore clothing like what he wore at his last visit at Domino, except his clothing was all black. He also still wore the gold items, and held onto the Millinuim Rod The Pharoah gave back to him. The reason he was returning to Domino City was because he liked it there, and people there. Espically Yugi and The Pharoah. He experienced the climatic battle between Yugi and Atem, and even if Yugi defeat all three God Cards at once, Atem barely won with his signature card, the Dark Magician.

Marik heard the pilot say that they were about to land, so Marik buckled up and waited for the flight to stop. Once that occured, Marik retrieve his carry-on baggage and walked out of the plane into the terminal. "Well, Domino City. I have returned!"
